About Dr. Schimelpfenig
After growing up in the Dallas suburbs, Dr. Schimelpfenig earned an undergraduate humanities degree with highest honors from Texas Tech University. He then received his medical degree from the Texas Tech School of Medicine and completed his clinical training at Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Sugar Land, Texas.
Outside of the office, Max enjoys reading, especially science fiction and the classics. He also finds time to play tennis, watch the grand slams, and travel with a special interest in all things French.
Dr. Schimelpfenig has received the following honors and awards: Highest ranking Graduate in the Texas Tech Honors College, Texas Tech Department of Family Medicine Outstanding Student Award, Outstanding Third-year Resident in Behavioral Medicine, and Resident Teaching Excellence Award (outstanding third-year resident as a leader and teacher).
Additionally, Dr. Schimelpfenig’s academic memberships include: American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association, and the Harris County Medical Society.
